If you decide to stay on property, the best deals are usually for the All Star resorts, Music, Movies and Sports. they are also very child friendly. Bene’s for staying on property, easy access to the parks, park passes can be included on your room cards which the kids can also get their own child card (ask about those), and it’s a lot closer to everything.

Personally, I’d say yes, it is worth it to stay at the Resort, especially if this is a rare trip. If you went every year, stay at a hotel off site. If this is a once in a decade/liftime thing, spend the money. It’s worth it!
